Coaching and Training: From Planning and Policies to Action
I help people trust the process - even when the topics are hard (Stock Image; Squarespace)
Whether you’re implementing new policies, making your schools or organization more welcoming or navigating tough personal or professional change, it’s not always clear how to begin. That’s where I come in.
I design and lead training experiences that help people build trust, tackle hard conversations, and move from confusion to confidence. And I facilitate coaching sessions for individuals and groups that enable you to take the next steps towards your goals. There aren’t cookie-cutter sessions. They’re tailored, culturally responsive, and (believe it or not) fun. People laugh, learn, and leave with tools they actually want to use.Whether it’s a leadership team working through policies and decision-making or staff learning how to create more welcome for students in the classroom or individuals wrestling with something hard to break through, I make sure the process feels grounded, clear, and human. When you hire me, you’re not just getting a trainer or a coach. You’re getting a trusted thought partner who helps leaders and teams face the hard stuff with clarity, confidence, and compassion. I bring deep expertise in inclusive leadership, creating welcoming and belonging, health policy implementation, school health and safety, and—perhaps most importantly—how to talk about the hard things without losing people in the process.
What I Actually Do
Whether I’m working with a national foundation, a local school, or a team of frontline leaders, I show up ready to listen, guide, and get to work. Past clients like the Rockefeller Foundation, DC Public Charter School Board, and so many schools, government agencies and nonprofits have brought me in not just to inform their teams, but to help them shift mindsets, build trust, and implement lasting change. Whether it’s a one-hour keynote, half-day training or a series of coaching sessions, my goal is simple: help people feel equipped, engaged, and empowered. Because if a policy is created in a forest and no one knows how to implement it… does it really happen? (spoiler alert: no, it doesn’t)
Why People Hire Me
I don't claim to have all the answers, but I do know how to hold space for the hard questions. Clients come back to me not just because of what I know, but because of how I work: with care, clarity, and a deep respect for the people in the room.
People hire me because I’m:
Authentic – I show up as myself, always, and invite you to do the same.
Engaging – I create space for laughter and learning.
Trusted – I’ve got the credentials, and I build real connection.
Strategic – I don’t just talk about change; I help you do it.
And here’s my secret sauce: In blending radical empathy with human centeredness, I help people trust the process – even when the topics are hard. I use storytelling, real-life scenarios, and dynamic facilitation to meet people where they are. No matter the subject, I help participants take the next brave step forward one conversation at a time
Bottom Line
When you bring me in, your people don’t just sit through another training or lackluster coaching session – they get an experience that sticks. They’ll walk away feeling equipped, energized, and ready to lead change that’s not just performative, but personal and powerful.
